Westport Woman’s Club members and friends joined survivors, caregivers, and walkers of all ages at the MAKING STRIDES Against Breast Cancer Walk this morning at Sherwood Island State Park for the WWC’s 14th consecutive year of supporting this cause. The American Cancer Society has organized this MAKING STRIDES walk in Fairfield County for the past 26 years to raise funds for research and support for those diagnosed with breast cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and on Sunday, October 20th members of the Westport Woman’s Club will again be walking as a team in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at Sherwood Island State Park. This walk, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, helps to raise funds for breast cancer research and to raise awareness. (more…)
On Sunday, October 14th, Westport Woman’s Club members and friends raised funds and participated in the American Cancer Society’s MAKING STRIDES Against Breast Cancer Walk at Sherwood Island State Park. This annual Fairfield County fundraising event draws thousands of participants. Thanks to WWC member Audrey Rabinowitz for organizing our club’s participation again this year.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 18th at Sherwood Island State Park. As they have done for the past several years, members of the Woman’s Club walked together as a group to raise funds for breast cancer research and to show support for all the women who have experienced – themselves or loved ones – this disease.
Please mark your calendar for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 18th at Sherwood Island State Park at 9am. As we have done for the past several years, members (and their friends and family) of the Woman’s Club will be walking together as a group to raise funds for breast cancer research and to show support for all the women who have experienced – themselves or loved ones – this disease.
