Thank you for your interest in joining the Westport Woman’s Club! Membership is open to all women who live or work in Westport and the surrounding areas; there is no residency requirement.
The Westport Woman’s Club, organized in 1907, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) philanthropic organization dedicated to volunteerism and the raising of funds in support of the charitable, educational, cultural and public health services in Westport and surrounding towns. The WWC achieves its goals through various fundraisers, including their Yankee Doodle Fair and Curio Cottage Thrift Shop. All members are expected to contribute their time, talent, and energies to the community service and fundraising activities of the Club.
The WWC also offers a variety of social events and special interest groups to appeal to a diverse group of women. It’s a great way to meet new people and try new things. As a member you may get your hands dirty with the Garden Club, enjoy a gourmet lunch outing, indulge in a good book, play Bridge, Bunco, or Mah Jongg – just to name a few (see Special Interests Groups). Members can also rent the facility for a private party at a reduced rate. General membership meetings are held monthly, usually on the first Monday of the month with a catered lunch and guest speaker.
Our largest fundraiser is our Yankee Doodle Fair held in the spring. It’s an all hands on deck weekend and we ask all Members to participate and volunteer to cover as many shifts that they can over the weekend.
