The Arts, in one form or another, have been a part of the WWC since 1935. Today the chair of the Cultural Affairs Group arranges trips to a wide variety of cultural venues, including important gardens, historical homes, the ballet and museums as well as Broadway and regional theatres. The Group takes several trips between September and June of each year.
Trips are by motor coach. A big part of the fun is the camaraderie shared on the bus trips. Depending on the location, lunch can be pre- arranged or on your own, or take time out to shop. Members are permitted to invite one guest. Paid reservations are required. Everyone in the WWC is automatically a member of Cultural Affairs. No dues are required. If you are a regular participant, you are expected to help host Club Day in June. Trips are on Wednesdays. The bus leaves from the lower parking lot at 9:30 a.m. The price for a trip varies and includes your ticket and transportation. (Bobbie Herman)
